Coloring Outside the Lines

As an art and photography teacher, I always encourage “coloring outside the lines”. I tend not let national boundaries be a line of demarcation between peoples. Welcome to my page that celebrates people outside the United States. I have been on only three continents, to eight countries, and forty-six US states. Furthermore, I have met great people everywhere I have went and on this page I will introduce you to some of them and their country. Note some will be from recent visits and others will be from the distant past. Enjoy and come back to visit, for I will be updating periodically.

“Madonna & Child”

On a Summer mission trip with CTOMA to Uganda, I met some great people. The adults tended to be a little standoffish at first, but when they got to know you, they are warm and inviting. The children were enormously open to strangers and were welcome to playing around.

One time I had two groups of kids going, “Gig’em Aggies” and another doing, “Boomer, Sooners”. They had no idea what I was having them say, but we had fun.

“Gig’em Aggies”

On a Central Baptist Church youth program mission trip, we went to Piedras Negras, Mexico. My team was tasked with clean-up and repair of a local school. One of the more rewarding tasks was participating in a children’s worship service. This little girl was more fascinated with me taking pics than the sing along.

Our church youth group led a Children’s Bible study with games, crafts, and signing. These children were hungry for the opportunity to show their talents.
